Siân Tooker (she/her/hers) is a social worker based on Jagera and Turrbal Country in Magandjin Meanjin Brisbane.
Siân has worked as a human services professional in social and community services for nearly twenty years, in frontline and leadership roles, and more recently she has worked in the government sector. Her work has included intersecting fields of practice such as domestic and family violence, reproductive justice, financial wellbeing, and mental health.
Siân has a Lived and Living Experience (LLE) of working and studying with invisible disability.
She graduated with a Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying) with Distinction in June 2024, which included the completion of 500 hours of workplace learning.
Siân hopes that providing an insight into her individual experience of invisible disability will encourage authentic and collaborative conversations within educational settings about accessibility and inclusion. #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs
