We know reasonable adjustment is a requirement - learn how to document support offered and implemented

This PD session explains how the definition of disability and the student's experience of disability shapes the types of supports to be offered. It will provide VET practitioners with essential insights into creating and implementing Learning Support Plans (LSPs) to effectively support diverse learners.

Accessibility will be discussed in the context of both physical and digital learning environments, ensuring that all students can fully engage with course materials.

We will discuss how LSPs can be integrated into your role as a VET practitioner and hear from a learner with lived experience.

By the end of the session, participants will have practical strategies to create more inclusive, accessible, and supportive learning environments for all students.

Outcomes: By the end of the webinar, participants will:

  • Understand the legal and policy framework that guides LSPs, including compliance with the Standards for RTOs;
  • Understand reasonable adjustments: what they are, how to identify them, and when they should be applied to support students with specific learning needs;
  • Be equipped with practical tools to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment;
  • Have access to a free Learning Support Plan Template updated to the Provisional Standards.

This PD session is designed for VET practitioners who are seeking to enhance their skills in creating and implementing LSPs to better support diverse learners and ensure an inclusive learning environment.
