  • The new Outcome Standards require that:
    • "VET students are trained, assessed and supported by people who are qualified, skilled and committed to professional development" (Outcome 3)
    • "...all trainers and assessors undertake continuing professional development to maintain current skills and knowledge in training and assessment, including skills and knowledge relating to engaging and supporting VET students" (Standard 3.2.2(c))

  • The Companion Volume Implementation Guide for the TAE Training and Education Training Package (2022) states:
    • "Maintaining currency - Assessors working with the TAE Training and Education Training Package need to maintain professional knowledge about the education and training industry, and specifically of the VET sector."
