Bringing down barriers so every student can thrive

Invisible disabilities and barriers to education can significantly impact a person’s ability to learn, yet they often go unnoticed or misunderstood.

This session will look at strategies to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment and hear from a learner with lived experience of invisible disability.

Ultimately, this presentation aims to enhance learning outcomes, promote diversity, equality and inclusion, and empower students to overcome challenges and thrive.

Outcomes: By the end of the webinar, participants will:

  • Understand the legal and policy framework that guides support for students with a disability, including the Standards for RTOs
  • Understand the challenges faced by individuals with invisible disabilities in educational settings
  • Be equipped with practical tools to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Have access to a free Learning Support Plan Template updated to the revised Standards

This PD session is for VET practitioners who are interested in developing a deeper understanding of invisible disabilities and learning how to create inclusive, supportive environments that support all students to succeed.
