"Here's the unit, see what evidence you have that might have"

When candidates must interpret required evidence, it is not truly candidate centred RPL.

This is just one example.

Despite the TAEASS514 incorporating the term “assessor-led”, practice prevails whereby candidates are sent off to drive their own evidence gathering processes.

This session aims to highlight what “assessor-led” truly means and how, when done effectively, will actually result in a candidate-centred process.

The session will unpack:

  • What ‘candidate-centred’ means, and why it is an important part of the RPL process
  • What it "looks like" when the process is 'assessor-led'
  • Common errors in approaching a candidate-centred tool and process; and how to avoid those errors
  • The importance of pre-enrolment support
  • What success looks like
