For Compliance's Sake - Black and White Thinking
How a black and white mindset can help your RTO's compliance approach - especially when it comes to assessment development and validation processes
It takes a bunch of different people to make up a successful RTO. And even though each department will typically comprise different personality types, with different viewpoints and different ways of doing things, everyone must aim toward achieving compliance.
This session introduces the idea of different thinking styles categorised according to colour and briefly looks at how different roles within an RTO might be influenced by typical coloured thinking. More than anything though, compliance relies on a 'black and white' approach.
Particular focus will be on how 'black and white' thinking is useful - and should be cultivated - for areas including assessment development and validation; areas in which, according to the National VET Regulator, RTOs most struggle to achieve compliance. An example of where we can source black and white information for assessment tool development is also given.
