This presentation challenges traditional LLN assessment practices and demonstrates how to design tools that are inclusive, fair, and valid.

Using case studies and design principles, it will explore how plain English, visual communication, and contextualised assessment promote equity without compromising rigour.

Participants will learn to create diagnostic and formative tools that measure capability without marginalising the learner behind the data, and will leave with a fact sheet which includes step-by-step guidance in developing LLN assessments for a range of learners.
