Passing assessments is the key to successfully obtaining a qualification which in turn can open doors to employment, new careers and/or promotions.
However, poorly written assessments disadvantage learners as they are hard to understand and complete, which in turn reduces learners' confidence in starting and completing assessments (Tai, et al, 2022). This can lead to learners dropping out of their training course.
This session shares effective assessment support tools and strategies which help learners ‘crack the code’ of complex assessment tasks, all without having to change the assessment itself.
These tools and strategies will help to ensure that ALL learners are afforded the same opportunities to complete their assessments, and achieve their training goals.
