Help to effectively navigate the VET maze

RTO, AQF, ACSF, ASQA, TGA, CT, AVETMISS, RPL... If your welcome to VET was filled with a seemingly strange other language, you’re not alone. The vocational education and training sector is filled with unique acronyms, jargon and regulatory requirements that certainly takes time to learn and get used to!

This session aims to help you navigate new territory with ease, running through the essential basics of VET so you can start and/or continue your role in with confidence. 

The following key aspects are covered:

• What training.gov.au is 

• Training Packages - including how to read and interpret them

• The Australian Qualifications Framework

• Ethical conduct as an RTO administrator

• Understanding key VET acronyms and terminology

• How Training Package packaging rules must direct what is advertised to comprise the course offering - and what other quality documents and compliance actions are required to satisfy these

This session is a must for VET newcomers as it offers clear explanation of components essential to understanding the VET landscape.

Although it does lean toward to administration job roles, the content will support any newcomer or person looking to confirm their understanding of our sector. 

It presents an opportunity and safe environment to ask and have questions answered, and will set the foundation for quality, compliant operations.
