Creating Real-world Training Environments
Recorded 22 June 2021
Preparing students to be ‘work ready’ requires them to be trained in real world training environments such as simulated businesses, pop-up shops or situated training environments.
These types of training environments model a real workplace, where students are allocated job roles and where students are situated in, and are exposed to, real workplace activities complete with any associated problems!
Students who experience these types of training environments are much more likely to be employed during or shortly following their training due to the industry and workplace skills gained, and the confidence they possess as a result of building work-ready skills.
