What does it take to align your RTO with Outcome Standard 2.5.2b?

Outcome Standard 2.5.2 states that the RTO must demonstrate it:

(a) fosters a safe and inclusive learning environment for VET students; and

(b) fosters a culturally safe learning environment for First Nations people.

In relation to 2.5.2b, what does this mean? And how exactly can an RTO demonstrate they are meeting this requirement?

If you need guidance on how to foster a culturally safe environment for First Nations students, this is the session for you!

Join this session to:

  • Discover key concepts of cultural safety and what it means in relation to First Nations students
  • Know more about how your RTO can embed cultural safety in its practices
  • Get practical steps for how an RTO can create cultural safety, including ideas for who to engage with to make it happen
  • Explore ways to demonstrate progress against meeting the requirements of Outcome Standard 2.5.2b

Presented by Anissa Jones, a proud Burubirangal Warmuli Dharug Woman from Richmond and Prospect mobs in NSW, this session will give the starting foundations for how to address requirements in the 2025 Standards for RTOs and tips to better align RTO practices, policies and procedures so that all students feel welcomed and included.
