Student support and services

Educational and support services for learners are a mandatory requirement for RTOs, with Clause 1.7 of the Standards for RTOs 2015 saying the RTO must “determine the support needs of individual learners and provide access to the educational and support services necessary for the individual learner to meet requirements” of their course.

Often this is interpreted as being Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) testing and support - which is great, however this is only part of the story in meeting requirements.

Join this session with Ian Whitehouse as he shares how to develop a quality-assured and effective VET student support system that goes beyond aspects such as LLN testing.
