Ditch the "one size fits all" approach

One of the greatest variables in the world is people.

People come with different experiences, backgrounds and circumstances and this is precisely the reason why a "one size fits all" approach to RPL does not work.

This session identifies situations where traditionally, RPL candidates have been denied RPL or had the process made so difficult for them, they either exit the process or "just do the course".

It unpacks the ways RPL tool design can prevent candidates being denied formal recognition of their skills and experience, instead opening up the recognition of prior learning opportunity to everyone - no matter their circumstance.

RPL is for everybody!

This session looks at how to create RPL tools suitable for use with ALL candidates by unpacking:

  • Examples of situations where candidates may not fit the mould of traditional RPL tool
  • How to design RPL tools that cover the contingencies that come with the variability of the human candidate
