This Natter

Day: Wednesday 26 March 2025

Time: 10am AEST (Qld time)

Topic: What is AI Literacy and why should you care?

We know technology and artificial intelligence are disrupting many sectors, influencing the way we live, work and learn. As a result, the issues of digital literacy, digital skills and now, AI literacy, are important in today’s technology-driven environment. As time and tools advance, we need to make sure nobody is left behind!

In this Natter on Education Matters, let’s look at AI Literacy and why it’s an important concept to understand.

With Guest Kathryn McGilvray, we’ll discuss:

  • Defining AI Literacy

  • What it means in practice

  • Why it's important (in what we do and with the work we do with students)

  • How it is different to digital literacy

Natters are a benefit of Education Matters membership. While the event will be recorded, to see the recording you must be an Education Matters membership subscriber.
