What do you think of when you hear “student support needs”?

The National Vocational Education and Training Regulator (Outcome Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations) Instrument 2025 (‘Outcome Standards’) place a heavy focus on RTO obligations to set students up for study success.

This includes all actions along the continuum of servicing pre-enrolment enquiries, through to ensuring students have access to staff and resources sufficient and adequate to support successful engagement with the course and their overall wellbeing as a learner.

This 90-minute session will unpack requirements linked to obligations within Outcome Standards 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.6.

Find out what considerations need to be addressed to ensure students are provided with a holistic outline of what they can expect when they enrol in a course with your RTO, and how you can help set them up for success!

Key points in the session:

  • Determining what ‘student support’ means
  • Understanding requirements linked to student support in the Outcome Standards
  • Unpacking how to ensure students are given accurate information about the skills and competencies needed for enrolment
  • Ensuring your RTO is adequately equipped with the information and resources to meet requirements linked to VET Student Support
