How to get your 'certificate'

If you'd like a Record of Participation from the PD session, for eligible courses, you can trigger the certificate once the PD is completed.

On the rare occasion a session is not eligible for a certificate, this will have been advertised.

Only the registrant can trigger the certificate.

We do not 'send certificates' after a session.

This means that even if you attended a live webinar, the steps to trigger your certificate from your dashboard are still required.

Your course must show ‘100% complete’ to trigger the Record of Participation.

Many people use PD certificates for compliance purposes - to ensure the integrity of the item, a certificate from Skills Education can only be triggered once the PD is undertaken.

This means:

  • If you have not completed all of the PD, you cannot trigger your certificate
  • On first view, the recording will not have visible playback controls - this stops people skipping ahead and not completing the full PD

This system is to better ensure PD is being completed, and when the regulator checks, we can offer this protocol as evidence.

How to access your dashboard - and why this is important

Your dashboard shows you the courses in which you are enrolled and have access to.

People can browse the Skills Education website and see all the courses available, but only when you are signed in to the Skills Education site will you be able to see and access the courses you are enrolled in.

Sign in here.

Not sure if you have access to a PD course?

There are two simple ways to see if you have access to a course:

  1. See if the course tile is on your dashboard - you can use the 'search' function within your dashboard if there are many tiles listed
  2. If you are signed in to the Skills Education website, the site won't let you pay twice for a course in which you are currently enrolled. If you see a session in the PD Library and click on the 'Buy' button (which may also read as 'Resume this PD'), if you are already enrolled and have access, you will be taken directly to the course content in your dashboard
